Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

This is an old time favorite, the kids just love it after school or for breakfast and it is easy and fast to make.

1/2 Cup Butter
1 Cup Sugar
2 Eggs
3 Medium Bananas (over ripe ones are best and they keep in your freezer for months)
3/4 Cup Chocolate Chips
1 3/4 Cup Flour
1 Tsp Baking Soda
1 1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1 1/2 Tsp Salt

Grease standard loaf pan, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream butter and sugar together in a large bowl until smooth, beat in eggs one at a time until smooth , add bananas and blend well . In another bowl stir together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, nuts (optional) and chocolate chips. Add to banana mixture stirring just until moistened. Pour into pan and bake one hour checking every 30 minutes to make sure it doesn’t over cook , when knife comes out clean then let stand for 30 minutes before serving.

Best served warm with margarine or butter.
